LAD-ing Living, Aging and Dying Well in Portugal

LAD-ing stands for Living, Aging and Dying Well (in Lisbon) and covers some of the following topics:
• Amelie, from Caldas da Rainha, will speak about the following: creating a care team for healthcare, getting signed up for a special emergency bracelet which is registered with the police, registering your advanced directives and completing your end-of-life plan.
• A representative from Serenity, will present their services, which include medical referrals, they can call to make appointments with Portuguese medical professionals and facilitate entry into the public health system, when appropriate. Also, they will explain when to use the private versus the public system in case of an emergency.
• Finally, we will have two lawyers to answer questions about testamentary wills and how they interface with other countries’ laws, so that your relatives will be protected and the process will go smoothly.
• We can all benefit from others’ questions, however, please be mindful that these professionals can only provide general information and not specific advice for your individual concerns.
Check-in at 18h with the program to start promptly at 18h15.
A donation of €5 is requested, however I would encourage you to donate €10 to go towards further funding leukemia research.
This donation will offset the cost of token gifts for the presenters, and the balance will be donated to:
